HURRICANE IKE

For those of you who know me and where I live, you may wonder how we are doing. We're fine, our house is fine and so are the kitties. Our yard is a mess and there are several tree limbs on the ground and dangling from the trees, but we are okay. The rest of the town is okay as well, there are lots of trees down and lots of power lines on the roads. There is no power and might not be for several days or even weeks. There are now some stores open and even a gas station with limited fuel supply.We sheltered in place at The Center(Tim's work) and used and still use a generator to supply our power, hence I can write this blog! This was an extreme heavy Hurricane that left A LOT of devestation all around the greatewr Houston area. We were fortunated enough to stock up on supplies and neccessary needs, but eventually they will run out. We strated the recovery process and I will update this blog more when I get the chance.

We are now in the midst of Hurricane IKE. Everything is fine right now, but the power is out and we are running on a generator.

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Well, it seems like it has been a year since I wrote anything here!!! Jeez, what the heck have I been doing? Well, lets see, there was Christmas, NewYear, I went to Los Angeles in the beginning of Januari to celebrate my birthday and to attend a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star dedication for Elizabeth Montgomery, on my birthday. Met some people, like, William Asher, Erin Murphy, Liz Sheridan, Herbie Hancock, Bernard Fox, Sue Ane Langdon and Rose Marie from the Dick van Dyke show, to name a few. Did costumes for another show and have been busy trying to write a book. Yeah that's pretty much it! I think!

Not much else to report, although as you can see, another new look. I guess I like to experiment. Oh well who knows, maybe I will change it again in a month :)

New look as you can see. Kind of this retro phase I am going thru. I just like the look I guess of simpler times. Everything seems so hasty and inconsiderate now a days. So many things happening right now, wouldn't know where to start. So I won't even bother.

I just can not seem to blog on a regular basis. Here we are again, 20 days after the last post. But there is a good reason for it this time, the others I must have been just lazy :) I have actually been extremely busy the past few weeks. Several different projects are in the works and I seem to have my hands in all of them somehow. Not that I mind. I actually enjoy it. Unfortunately nothing I can divulge right now, but when the time comes, I will post all about it. Also just came back form a great trip to a little town up in North East Texas, called Waxahachie. Great place with lots of great people :) Hey Shane! and all the gals at the Chamber of Commerce, I really enjoyed the visit! Well, off to work now. Till next time.

Wow, it has been over a month since my last post. What happened?? Life I tell you, that's what. Jeez, one thing after another :) Anyhow, not much to report. Nothing major or new. Did add a new page to the site. Kind of my Portfolio on costumes. Not complete finished, but enough to post.

The weekend is almost over, and another performance of Beauty & The Beast out of the way, Yeah!!! 4 more to go. A couple of days to relax, . . . well, atleast from the production. Not much else to report. Have to catch up on other work .

Another week gone by! Where does it go?? Getting to the end of the Summer production, or at least the costuming part. Opening is in a week, so it better slow down :)

Jeez, another month gone by!! Why does time fly by so fast. Oh well, I guess it will just be monthly updates on my blog, or whenever I get to it .

In the middle of another production at the moment. I had told myself I was going to take a break after the last show, but somehow, someway, i always seem to find my self in the middle of a production, whether I want to or not. I was only supposed to make one pair of pants. Well, it is now three and three Vests, so, needles to say, I have been busy again.

Hopefully by the beginning of the month, things will have calmed down!

Jeez, it's almost been a month since I last posted. I had all these plans on keeping my blog a little more up-to-date. So much for that. Anyway, as the days have gone by, lots of things have happened. I made a cool little desktop clock, based on an old NBC Color TV clock from the 60's.

Also, I got a new car, well to me it is new. It's a Ford Taurus and we got it for a really good price $500,- so, we can't complain. It's in excellent condition and only has about 65000 miles on it, which is really good. The only problem it has is that the airconditioner has gone out. Below are some pictures. Plus I have been going almost none-stop with my Bewitched website. You'll have to check it out yourself to see what is new.

Well, Well, well. What a hectic but fun past few weeks. We wrapped up 'Picasso at the Lapin Agile' yesterday afternoon, and I can honestly say that I will miss it. It was a fun show, with a darn good cast and a darn good Director. I did the costumes for the show, and let me tell you, it was a lot of work, but I enjoyed doing it.

Yahoo!! Moved the whole site to a new and much faster server. Everything loads a lot quicker now, and everything is working properly now too.

Okay, well, it seems very obvious to me that I can not seem to keep this blog up to date, so, just live with it!!! :) I will update it when I can.

Todays update: Working on a new theatrical production called Picasso at the Lapin Agile, written by Steve Martin. I am doing costumes for it and really looking forward to seeing it all come together. It is set in Paris in 1904. So the fashion for this time is very elegant and it is one of the time periods we I haven't really done before.

Also wanted to post a little blurb here about a fantastic website I like to visit every once in a while. Plan59.com. It has fantastic nostalgia and either brings you back or gives you a glimpse of what life was like back in the days, so to speak.

Well, here it is, New Years Eve. I guess I need to make a New Years Resolution of keeping up my blog a bit more. I just realized I never uploaded the pictures from my trip to L.A. and that I haven't blogged since then. So here is to keep up the blogging!!

Greetings from L.A. That's right Los Angeles. Believe it or not, I am walking on air, so to speak. This is a life long dream come true, that happend just like that. I'll spare you the details and let you know that I have arrived savely and I'll be updating on a daily basis even if know one really visits my site. Pictures coming soon.

Made a small update to my page. Wrote a new blog that you are reading now. And attempting to add a photo slideshow to show our new house :) Not sure if it will work.

Worked a little more on the page. Added a new color background to the top and made the Flash files transparent. (I just learned that today, pretty neat feature) Other than that, not much else going on.

Decided to work a little on the page. Added a clock to the page and the playlist of one of my favorite radio stations in The Netherlands, Sky Radio.

Other than that, everything is the same. Maybe more will come later. Oh, and I decided to start a blog here on my site from now on. Don't expect to much of it ;)
